While more than half of French people have already been victims of cyberbullying, according to a study by IPSOS in 2021, this phenomenon particularly affects online gamers. To counter this growing threat, SafeBear was created in 2022.
Origin and will
Online gaming, once a place for sharing, is now often a place of malice, insults and abuse of all kinds. In response to this change, SafeBear was born. Using new technologies, including blockchain and AI, the company aims to offer a solution to combat cyberstalking.

The name “SafeBear” is inspired by the “teddy bear”, a symbol of security and comfort for children. The company’s mascot, a smiling polar bear, embodies this image of protection.

Fighting cyberbullying
SafeBear’s diverse range of features plays a part in the fight against online harassment, which is difficult for parents to detect and is still very rarely convicted due to a lack of evidence. Detection tool
- Text analysis: Detecting signs of cyberbullying using natural language processing algorithms. SafeBear’s AI analyzes both private messages and public comments, and is able to identify content that is insulting, sexist, racist, threatening or any other form of cyberstalking.
Alert tool
- Anyone associated with the SafeBear account (often parents) will be alerted in the event of aggression.
- Weekly information: family and friends can receive activity reports to keep track of the younger children’s interactions and intervene in the event of problems, such as harassment.
