KugleCorp, an independent studio founded in France, has announced the official release of its game, KUGLE, for PC and mobile on 15 December 2025.
Since 2021, the studio has raised €300,000, notably with support from BPI France in the form of a €30,000 innovation grant, as well as backing from Polkadot. After three years of development, Kugle has established itself as a Play & Earn title that blends dynamic arcade gameplay with creature-collection mechanics.
Drawing inspiration from the dynamic gravity mechanics of Mario Galaxy and the emotional bond created by Tamagotchis, Kugle offers a vibrant, inclusive and community-driven universe where players can nurture, evolve and collect their creatures: the Kugles.
The game caters to all types of players, from “hyper-casual” to “hardcore”, offering an experience designed for everyone. Its wallet abstraction system also allows users to enjoy the game without needing to connect a wallet or understand blockchain technology.
“We developed Kugle primarily as a game where blockchain serves Kugle, not the other way around. Unlike many of our competitors today, it is not a gamified financial product,” says Ugo Belfiore, CTO and co-founder.
Kugle aims to reach both Web2 and Web3 audiences alike.
🌌 Diverse and immersive gameplay
Kugle features extensive gameplay that spans multiple genres. It is a 3D platformer with a custom gravity engine inspired by Mario Galaxy. It also functions as a party game, where players compete in a variety of mini-games, with new modes regularly introduced by the studio.
Players must also take care of their Kugles — creatures inspired by Tamagotchis and Pokémon. Each one needs to be nurtured and can evolve over time. Every Kugle possesses between three and five powers, each of which can be upgraded three times and reach level 100.
At launch, the focus will be on Racing mode: ten competitive races set in distinct biomes filled with twists and turns, where mastery of trajectories, Kugle powers and gravity mechanics is essential.
Shortly after release, the Hide & Seek mode will be introduced, followed by Football mode, further diversifying gameplay styles and encouraging community interaction.
🧬 Unique Kugles created through a special breeding process
Each Kugle has its own unique DNA, which determines its colour, body parts, skills and personality. They can feature up to five layers of skin, each with distinctive patterns that highlight the breadth of their diversity. Every Kugle is entirely unique.
The breeding system allows two Kugles to be combined in order to create a new one. Players can choose which attributes are passed on to the egg, or leave them random, influencing both appearance and performance.
The hatching and breeding processes require two resources: heat (generated by eggs) and carbon (generated by Kugles). Each new Kugle increases in generation number, but produces fewer resources. Genesis Kugles, sold in 2021, are the rarest and most expensive on the market because they generate the highest amount of resources. Some rare bloodlines become highly sought-after collectible NFTs that can be traded on the secondary market.
💎 $GU as the game’s single premium currency
$GU, originally sold for €0.15 in 2021, will launch at an initial price of €0.50. It is the only in-game currency and can be used in five different ways:
- The primary currency for all in-app purchases
- Reactor extension: more $GU allows more playable Kugles
- Exclusive tickets for rare items and bonuses
- Community rewards during events
- Direct exchanges between players or via the pool
$GU lies at the core of a sustainable Play & Earn model that prioritises progression and engagement over speculation. The game is built around an evolving economic system.
The Reactor enables players to expand their population and increase the production of resources (heat, carbon, dracofruit, etc.).
Tickets, obtained using $GU, provide access to exclusive items and temporary bonuses.
🏆 N3MUS Tournaments: Competitions and cash prizes
To celebrate the launch of N3MUS, Kugle has partnered with the platform. An official N3MUS tournament will take place every four months and will consist of three stages:
- Sale of $GU and boosters
- Online competition for first place in the Racing mode rankings
- Distribution of rewards to the top 1,000 players
The cash prize pool begins at US$500 from KugleCorp’s treasury, plus 15% of $GU and booster sales. This often exceeds US$5,000, which is redistributed to players via N3MUS.
Boosters, priced at €30 each, contain three eggs ready to hatch, giving players access to potentially more powerful Kugles — particularly advantageous in competitive play., providing access to potentially more powerful Kugles — ideal for competition.
🪆 Physical collectible figurines are available
In 2026, KugleCorp will introduce a range of physical figurines inspired by Skylanders. These will allow players to carry their Kugle collection into the physical world, connecting virtual and real-life experiences. Each figurine will include an NFT code to reinforce its collectability and sense of ownership.
🌍 A French project with global ambitions
KugleCorp has assembled a team of enthusiasts from both traditional gaming and Web3 backgrounds. With a community of over 35,000 members across Twitter, Discord and Telegram, the team shares a clear vision:
“To create a Web3 game where people play primarily for fun, and where technology remains at the service of the experience.”
— Ugo Belfiore, CTO & Co-Founder
The launch on 15 December 2025 will mark a new chapter for French Play & Earn, combining fun, competition and accessibility for all.
