It’s easy to send cryptos to friends and family, and to use cryptocurrency to pay for goods and services, once you get the hang of it. In this guide, we’ll look at how to send cryptos via Metamask in just a few simple steps.

Once you’ve created an account, you’ll be taken to the MetaMask main page:

For this tutorial, we’ll be using the Polygon network:
Sending MATICs
Once we’ve chosen the network, we can perform a transaction from MetaMask by clicking on the “Send” button and pasting the destination address into the input field, here “0x81…”.
Here, we’ll be sending MATIC, but this method works for any other asset. Once you’ve entered the quantity, click on “Next”. You will then see a summary of the transaction.
Transaction summary
This menu is used to validate the transaction, and provides a summary of its contents and the fees to be paid. Gas fees can be modified via the gas management interface, as shown below:
Sending cryptocurrency sounds complicated and technical, but as explained in this tutorial, it’s just as simple as making a traditional bank transfer. The advantage is that receipt of the asset is almost instantaneous.
