How do I create a MetaMask portfolio?

MetaMask is one of the most widely used crypto wallets in the Web 3 world, and its simple, intuitive interface makes it accessible to everyone, from beginners to experts. Together, we'll take a look at how to create a MetaMask wallet.

Step 1: Go to the site

To access the MetaMask website, type the following address in your navigation bar: https: //metamask.io/

Step 2: Choose the extension

Step 3: Download and install the extension

Step 6: General conditions

Click on the "I Agree" button to allow data collection to improve MetaMask or click on the "No Thanks" button. The portfolio will still be created even if you click on the "No Thanks" button.

Step 7: Create a password

Create a password for your portfolio. This password must be entered every time you wish to use MetaMask. A new password will have to be recreated if Chrome is uninstalled or if there is a browser change. In this case, you'll need to use the Import Portfolio button. This is because MetaMask stores the keys in the browser. Accept the terms of use and click on Create. Remember to write down your password in a safe place so you don't forget it!

Step 8: Reveal the secret phrase

On this page, click on the dark area that says "Click here to reveal secret words" to get your secret phrase. This phrase is of the utmost importance, as we shall see. That's why, like your password, you should keep it in a safe place.

Step 12: Copy the secret phrase

Click on the words corresponding to your secret phrase. To be more precise, reproduce the secret phrase in the exact order by clicking on the words on the screen. If you do so correctly, the "Confirm" button will turn blue. Please write down your secret phrase somewhere and keep it precious, as it's the only key to your wallet.

After clicking on "confirm" your account is finally created.
