Go to the Metamask website
Even to open an account on decentralised platforms, you need to set up the cryptocurrency wallet in which all the digital currencies are held. Metamask is one of these popular wallets. All you have to do to set it up is download the application to your phone or an extension to the Google Chrome browser.
To do this, visit the official Metamask web page. Note that by visiting the official website, you can directly determine the type of extension best suited to your browser. Then simply select “Install Metamask”.
This takes you to the Chrome web store, where you can install the extension. Then click on “Add to Chrome” in the top right-hand corner of the screen. Once validated, the installation process is complete.

Copy your wallet address
On the main page, you will see the public address of your account, which can be shared with the person who wishes to send us cryptocurrency. All you have to do is copy the address below by clicking on the icon

Once you’ve copied the public address, all that’s left to do is send it to the person of your choice, who will be able to send you cryptocurrency from any platforms such as Coinbase or Binance. Be careful to select the right network linked to the token you want to receive, as you risk losing your funds if they are sent on the wrong network.
Wait for transaction confirmation
Generally, the time taken to validate a transaction depends on the network on which it is carried out. Once the transaction has been carried out, the sender will receive a notification indicating confirmation with a link enabling the details of the transaction to be consulted on etherscan.io. As the recipient, you will not be informed of the receipt of the transaction.
