This announcement comes amid a challenging transition. According to a study by Stanford’s Digital Economy Lab, young workers aged 22 to 25 are experiencing a 13% drop in employment in sectors most exposed to automation.

Companies like Salesforce and Klarna have already eliminated thousands of positions, replaced by AI agents capable of handling considerable volumes of activity.

Faced with these changes, Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, defends an optimistic vision: AI would open up more opportunities than it destroys, provided that the workforce is massively trained.

Beyond simple recruitment, this initiative is part of a broader transformation of work. The emergence of AI agents capable of performing concrete actions (coding, booking, analysing, writing) is redefining jobs and expected skills.
