The price went from $1.60 to $4 and then went back a bit. At the peak in March, the price had already reached $4.80. AUDIO entered the top 100 following the price increase and, with a market capitalization of around $1.4 billion, is now in 72nd place. It could be interesting for speculative investors to build a trading position here with a dusting limit around $2.75. The token has only been listed on exchanges like Binance since October. From a charting perspective, price is facing a golden crossover where the 50-day line crosses the 200-day line upwards (see chart below). This is considered a very bullish sign.
Audius is a decentralized music streaming service that could significantly increase its notoriety worldwide through cooperation with Tiktok. Indeed, Tiktok has almost a billion monthly active users, who could therefore also be interested in the token. The AUDIO token is responsible for the security of the platform and grants access to functions. Stakers receive new coins and access to exclusive features for the AUDIO token pledged as collateral.
Tiktok only recently passed a ban on users advertising cryptocurrency deals. However, the brand content guidelines were not only aimed at crypto influencers, but also other financial services and products such as loans, credit cards, foreign exchange or securities services. However, by including Audius offers on Tiktok, there could be an implicit promotion of Audius. This partnership allows Audius users to easily add created videos to Tiktok with just one click. Audius pays musicians based on the number of streams. However, thanks to the cooperation with Tiktok, no additional income is generated for artists when their clips are embedded. Audius is used by relatively unknown artists. Monthly user numbers are in the mid-single digit millions and therefore cannot be compared to Spotify & Co's user figures. Unlike central portals, which simply collect all revenues and distribute them based on the percentage of each song, artists can act autonomously on Audius. They themselves set the value of their contributions and the income is then divided between the artists and Audius in a ratio of 90 to 10. The cardinal question for Audius is therefore to know to what extent it can impose itself against the big suppliers central. After all, Audius is the first music streaming portal to engage in cooperation with Chinese media giant Tiktok. However, the road to a decentralized Spotify is still long. Especially since Spotify has also already shown its interest in blockchain technology through a corresponding job offer.
