Uniswap, the decentralized exchange (DEX), is preparing to launch a web extension for its native wallet. According to the February 27 announcement, a waiting list is currently available for users who have claimed a uni.eth username. “We will share access to the Uniswap extension beta in order of username claims,” said DEX. As with self-storage wallets such as MetaMask, the Uniswap Wallet extension will enable users to send, receive, buy and exchange various tokens and altcoins directly from their web browsers.
Introducing the Uniswap Extension
The uni.eth domain is based on the Ethereum name service and allows users to convert their 0x addresses into usernames. Over 100,000 uni.eth sub-domains had been claimed by February 25. Over the past month, the iconic DEX token has increased in value by over 80% following a recent proposal calling for protocol fee rewards for users.
Improvement proposal
According to the proposal submitted by Erin Koen, head of governance at the Uniswap Foundation, the update would “reward UNI holders who have wagered and delegated their tokens.” Koen stressed that the proposal would maintain Uniswap DEX’s immutability, optimize security and preserve its ability to experiment in the future.
Conclusion: Launching a Web Portfolio Extension
In conclusion, Uniswap is preparing to offer a web extension for its native wallet, providing users with a new way of accessing and interacting with DEX directly from their web browser. This initiative is part of Uniswap’s ongoing efforts to enhance the user experience and strengthen its position in the DeFi ecosystem.
