The KYC process on Binance seems complex, as it requires a large amount of personal information. In this tutorial, we will explain how to complete this process simply and efficiently. The steps involved are as follows:
From the previous image, position the mouse cursor over the avatar at the top right, just to the right of ‘Spot’ → It says that the new user is not yet verified
Click on ‘Identification’
Click on the ‘Get Verified’ button
Choose your country of residence, then click on the ‘Continue’ button

h- Register your address or not, then click on the ‘Continue’ button to start the identity verification process.
At this stage, we realise that we need to download the application in order to continue the process. So we’ll click on ‘OK’.

j- Authorise Binance to take photos and film videos
k- Display the next steps on the mobile phone screen:
- Prepare your original identity document (screenshots not accepted)
- Take a video selfie
- Sign electronically by sms
Click on the ‘OK, I understand’ button
l- Position the front of the document facing the camera in the area indicated → If your document is not identified, the Binance teams will ask you to provide your country of residence and the type of document. They will then ask you again to position the front of the document facing the camera in the area indicated.
m- Once this has been done, the same procedure is repeated for the back (excluding passports).
n- Take a video selfie
o- Sign electronically by text message
Note that you can interrupt the process on your mobile phone for a number of reasons, which are listed and can only be chosen once. In this case, the final screen will display ‘Verification failed’.
Once the last 4 tasks (l, m, n, o) have been completed correctly on a mobile phone, according to the response obtained from a Binance angel on 22 June 2023, you should wait around 48 hours for a definitive answer. If not, support can be contacted to speed up the verification process if necessary.
Once you have completed the actions on your mobile phone, return to your browser page and click on ‘Save and exit’ at the top right-hand corner of the screen.
Choose ‘Cancel’ to return to the previous page, or ‘Confirm’ to end the process. We will choose ‘Confirm’.
- We will then be able to either continue with the verification or start again from the beginning whenever we deem it necessary.
It is important to point out that the KYC verification process at Binance has been very busy for some months now. As a result, given the day-to-day priorities and the limited human resources allocated to this activity, it is progressing as best we can.
