Portrait : Alexandre Stachtchenko, the French blockchain specialist

Temps de lecture : 2 minutes

Often invited on TV shows, Alexandre Stachtchenko is now one of the main representatives of blockchain and Bitcoin in France. We decided to draw up a portrait of this blockchain avant-gardist.

His background

Alexandre Stachtchenko discovered blockchain technology in 2015, during an internship at Azzana Consulting where he carried out an in-depth study of crypto-currencies, particularly bitcoin and its related concepts (Blockchain, decentralization, etc.).

The subject fascinates him immediately and he decides the same year to create the website Blockchain France. He quickly met with success and found himself pushed into the spotlight leading seminars and conferences.

In 2017, after a collaboration with Labo Blockchain, the two companies (Labo Blockchain and Blockchain France) merged to become Blockchain Partner. Note that he has been accompanied since the beginning by Claire Balva with whom he notably co-founded Blockchain France and then Blockchain Partner.

We had the chance to attend a press conference in which Claire Balva participated, you can find it by clicking here!

On March 15, 2021, Blockchain Partner joined KPMG with the objective of becoming the French reference for blockchain and crypto-asset consulting. For your information, KPMG is a globally recognized consulting and auditing firm.

Today, Blockchain Partner is the French leader in blockchain and crypto-asset technology consulting.

Alexandre Stachtchenko is specialized in strategic interventions with Comex and management of large companies. He is known for his pedagogy and his ability to make people aware of technological issues.

As mentioned in the introduction, he regularly speaks in the French and international media and at major events.

His vision

A precursor in the field of blockchain and crypto-currencies, Alexandre Stachtchenko is today one of the main personalities of the ecosystem in France.

As far as his vision of crypto-currencies is concerned, he is very involved in its democratization, but also in the defense of this monetary system.

He recently published an excellent “Survival manual in the jungle of anti-Bitcoin poncifs” (“Manuel de survie dans la jungle des poncifs anti-Bitcoin” in French) to answer the economists Nicolas Dufrêne and Jean-Michel Servet. Indeed, they had published an article in the newspaper Le Monde calling Bitcoin “useless” and “dangerous”.

With the publication of this manual, we realize that Alexandre is a fervent defender of Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies and their uses, here are some excerpts:

“Mr. Dufrêne has no idea what “democracy” would decide if it were allowed to play with money creation at will.”

“Everyone would benefit if the debate were at the right level. Just so we stop wasting time on useless issues, while other countries are doing the Internet thing again.”

Alexandre is deeply involved in the development of blockchains & crypto-assets in France. He is a co-founder and board member of ADAN (Association for the Development of Digital Assets). The main objective of the association is to develop the digital asset industry by bringing together professionals in the sector.

Members include Bitpanda, of course KPMG, Caisse des Dépôts, Just Mining and Ledger.

Alexandre also participates in the evolution of legislation and regulation in France and in Europe, via working groups or specific actions, notably with the European Commission and the National Assembly.
